First Time User Question...

Post by brenderlin »

Hello,

I as my subject line suggests, I am a first time user. So far, the only online trading I've done is on the WOTC Star Wars minis forums.

My question relates to cross-genre trading..if that makes sense.

For example:
I have some SCI-FI minis I want to get rid of, but I want 1/72, 1/76, or 20mm historical minis in return (plastics or metals, mostly WW2).

Would this only be posted in the Miscellaneous Futuristic section since that is what I am offering?

I hope this is an appropriate question!

Thanks!

Welcome to Bartertown.

Depends on what sci-fi minis you have....if they're 40K minis your ad could go in the 40K for sale/wanted section...as well as the WW1 and later for sale/wanted.

In short, you can post your ad in which ever forums apply to what you have/want.
I always use U.S.P.S. Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation when I mail a trade, and I respectfully ask that you do the same.

You can put the ad in EVERY appropriate forum, depending on what you are offering AND selling.

For example:

I have Heroclix, Star Wars minis, 40K minis, Warhammer minis and comic books for trade. In return, I am looking for WWII historical minis and a painting service.

I can post in ALL of those sections (Clix, Misc sci-fi, 40K, Warhammer, comics, "WWI and later" AND Painters Wanted).

Hope that helps.

Eric

Thanks for the help...they're Star Wars minis, so I'll post in the Miscellaneous -Futuristic forums and the historicals...since that is what I want.

Thanks again!

Brenderlin, there's 2 things you'll learn about me here.

1) Most of the time, I'm only half serious. If I'm saying something that sounds "out there," that's because it is.

2) if I post a link, you HAVE to click on it. I post links to the COOLEST stuff.

*ahem*

RIGHT, GUYS? ::nudge nudge::

I don't know, i kind of like that little thingy... I have to say I looked at his links once... just once. All other times my glasses blacked out to save me from looking at anything dangerous.

Welcome to Bartertown, Brenderlin.

Ignore MM. It's safer. Especially ignore his links. That's especially safer.

A lot of people here like to tease each other in a pretty good natured fashion, and overall are cool.

You know, that Avatar must have some ju-ju on me,everytime i see it i just stare at it for about a minute, waiting for him to wave his arms around.

It looks like the lead singer from "System of a down" is it?

Cheers
Peace
