Re-routed Delivery Confirmation

Post by kbolster12345 »

Hey,

anyone ever have this message come up on delivery confirmation before?
Status: Missent

Your item was misrouted. The error has been corrected and every effort is being made to deliver it as soon as possible. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.
This is a package that is being sent to me.
If I don't get what I think I am getting you will be sending me money for me to ship it back to you. So be very certain I know what I am getting.

Also more of what I don't want doesn't make up for not getting what I agreed upon.

Either will result in negative feedback, posting of our records in the appropriate section of bartertown, and possible mailfruad. Otherwise don't trade with me.

That occurred to one of my Shipments from E-Bay.

The person I was sending it to, had the old address on their Paypal Account. So when they Paid, I sent it to that address. I checked USPS and got that same message. Contacted the Buyer and he stated the address was incorrect.

But the item evetually got rerouted to his correct address.

missent usually means the post office sent it to the wrong building, for delivery. for example it could have been sent to say california, instead of kansas. or it could also mean it was sent to the post office 2 ciies away, or even the same city. it just wasn't sent to the post office that delivers your mail.

there used to be an option called 'mis-addressed', but it has been changed to 'forwarded'; the same as when you move.

missent means the po messed up. forwarded means the shipper put the wrong, or old address.

I've gotten this

But I think it is mostly due to a slight touch of dyslexia. I've sometimes written zips wrong, with the correct state, and it gets screwed up. I also read one address as Michigan, but the name of the town made me think of a town in Mississippi I visited a few times as a kid, and found I wrote MS. Thank goodness I usually use pre printed return address labels! I've taken to asking my wife to print me a label for shipping now.

\codes vb and c#.net
\\loves the autocomplete in the IDE, should be one IRL!

well, after almost 20 years at the post office, i know what the terms mean.
if it said missent, then usps messed up.

plain and simple. if you were using expres mail, you'd have gotten your $$ back, because it would most likely have been late.
