posting a trade ref
I have, to the best of my knowledge, posted a favourable reference to a bartertown member using his user ID. Everything appeared to work fine, alas, no reference or email notification. Am I doing something wrong? do I need to know the secret handshake ?

When did you do it? The ref system has been messed up because of the server move for the past few days.
Trading Guidelines:
1. Lower rating ships first - even if I am purchasing.
2. If you agree to buy something, you have 72hrs. in which to pay. If payment is not received in 72hrs., I will automatically post a Non-Payment/Backout thread.
3. Refs are left upon positive receipt of goods, NEVER beforehand!
4. I accept Paypal & USPS money orders and charge for shipping AT COST. I make no profit from it.
5. I trade NIB/new models at retail.

You get 2pts per good ref, (supposedly) +1 per neutral (although I've noticed you get +0), and -10 per negative.
You can check your refs by clicking on the hyperlinked blue number under your s/n or going to the "Check Refs" icon @ the top of the page.
