While I agree that he is trying to scam you, there seems to me that perhaps HE thought it was a Lease. Tell him to screw off. If that truly does not work, I would charge him a fee and post a BTR with all information. This is of course what I would do. while $100 a month is a bit high, $50 is not so bad and well, then you could sell the molds again to recoup your losses and he would have a bad ref.
So.... End result if everything goes reallly badly,
You could sell the molds again,
He has no more deals to be made here.
one less person to screw with btown.

Reminds me of this stupid woman we had at my old job. Comes in with a $300 housephone (super-spiffy ultra-phone) with no receipt, a full year after purchase, has been DISCONTINUED in the meanwhile, and throws a fit because we're not going to give her "her" (now most decidedly OURS) money back. All this was 6 years ago and I still get a laugh out of it!
