Getting a trade ref removed?

Post by archangelq »

So, a trade fell through with someone (I didn't have the cards to go with a WM model that was shipped, he didn't want to wait for me to get them), so myself and the other trader are sending stuff back. I've already left feedback for my half. How do I get that nixed? It's not like I want to add a bad reference. It's just an aborted trade, so not sure what the way to go about that is.

Sounds like he might still deserve the positi9ve ref to me.
instead of being a jerk about it, he just agreed to "untrade."

Leaving the pos ref might be a "good karma" thing to do.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

I kind of agree with MM. It might be easier to get him to post a positive FB for you and call it even. Afterall, you guys did make a trade. You just traded back...

I don't know that the OP really DOES deserve a pos feedback.
It kind of depends on the circumstances.
I mean, it sounds like he doesn't deserve NEGATIVE feedback. I'd say, probably, a neutral or nothing at all...

My opinion would depend on whether or not the OP properly represented what he had for trade.
If he said he had the model... then neutral. If he said it was "complete," "NIB," or the like, then just leaving nothing would be the best course, IMO.

I really don't think he'd deserve a positive unless he was upfront about not having the card before the trade (in which case, the other party drops to a neutral, at best, IMO).

IMO, of course.

I plan on leaving it.

I will give this advice to anyone trading however. Whenever you plan to trade something, prepare! Stage everything you plan to trade into the lots they will be sent in, including all components. Do this before you even list things on here. Seriously. You'll have better trades.

I didn't do that this time, and I buggered up my trade.

Good, sound, solid advice that more people should heed than probably will.
