But, I promised I'd stop!

I thought you LIKED those kinds of pictures.

(BTW, I think the answer is "No.")

That would be a great ability to give to a BARTERTOWN SUPPORTING MEMBER... if such a thing existed.

Ok HYPOTHETICALLY,,,,,,,lol ......say there is a person you do not want to deal with. This person has entered into negotiations with you a few times and then changed their minds. Or something like that....
Or said they would send first, and didnt. Etc. Etc. Or this person is just an idiot and you dont any more babbling PMs.
Someone you do NOT want to deal with under any circumstances, for any item, for any price, for any reason. It would be handy to "block" this person so you would not be bothered.
Hypothetically of course.....

MM thanks for the pics.

There isn't currently a way to do that. Its not something exactly high on the to do list, especially with the host issues we've been having lately.

I'll ask about it though.

If you dont want to be bothered by them you can always delete the pm instead of reading it. It isnt that hard.

Part of the problem is that you haven't been here very long. As such, you haven't run across too many instances of the same trader(s) wasting your time.

Based on how many trades some people do, it can be difficult to remember the screen name of every knuckle head they'd like to avoid.

Currently, the only way to do this is with a list on your comp or a pen/ paper hard copy. Both have their limitations in that you have to refer to them while checking your PM's. All SS is looking for is a built in way to do it.

Good idea SS. Maybe Adam will eventually be able to implement it. If not, just don't read the PM's and delete them :-P

Now, 'Slayer. Play nice with the new members.
He was just trying to be helpful.

<G>

Youngorcone... Thanks for trying.
Fact is... It's FAR more annoying than that.

Hopefully I'm wrong but, more than likely, you'll encounter many traders like StarSlayer describes over the (hopefully) years that you trade here. Eventually, you'll come to loathe them as we do.

LOL

Starslayer - there isn't anyway to block my PMs....you know you love my internet stalking.

Anyway, if a trader REALLY wastes my time or gives me the run-around twice, I'll mark his/her name down on my DNT list. I know it sucks that it's not automatic but, after the first new PM, I'll quickly scan my list...
Trading Guidelines:
1. Lower rating ships first - even if I am purchasing.
2. If you agree to buy something, you have 72hrs. in which to pay. If payment is not received in 72hrs., I will automatically post a Non-Payment/Backout thread.
3. Refs are left upon positive receipt of goods, NEVER beforehand!
4. I accept Paypal & USPS money orders and charge for shipping AT COST. I make no profit from it.
5. I trade NIB/new models at retail.

MM- I would have been nicer to Younorcone,if it wasnt for that last phrase."It isnt that hard" Kinda puts a snooty twist on things.
But keep the pics coming.
I'd pay for amembership here if it wasnt unreasonable.

Ancient- Yeah,I figured it could be good as a "Do not trade list". If you meet an annoying/unreliable trader you want absolutely nothing to do with, then add them to your block list. But with the server issues,Btown has bigger problems.
