Has it always been that you cannot place an additional ad in the same forum within a 7 day limit?
I have some FOW stuff that isnt selling but I was looking to try and trade it for some ELDAR so I placed my ad in the 40K Section.
I also have some additional ELDAR that I wanted to post in a seperate topic but I could not because I got some message about posting another ad in the same forum for 7 days.
I just dont ever remember this being like this that I can recall.
Is this new? and has it always been this way? and isnt a week kind of a long time?
Just asking.

it wasn't always like this.. but the rule has been one post per week. so just edit your previous post and add them.. As you cannot make a second post..
I follow the idea LOWER references ships/pays first. It keeps things safer for anyone, as I would never desire to have to start over again. Nor would I want to loose the trust of any fellow gamers. That is how I ended up with my reference collection! I always follow through with my deal!
Wow. So you've been here how long? Its always been a rule. You know the rules? Those things posted at the top of every forum?
In the past it wasn't automated, and you'd have gotten a warning for it. And, following what the rules say will happen, if you kept doing it you would get suspended.
Both of you have been here more than long enough to know that. In the past when there was no limit (a time well before this became a phbb board and either of you joined) there wasn't any real limitations on it. And everyone proceeded to spam the crap out of the trade sections. But its been part of the rules since this version of the site went online.
About a year and a half ago there was a major problem with people spamming the trade sections with several trade ads daily.
So to keep things neat the one ad per week rule was added. As was said above, just edit your ad to reflect additional items.

If I owe you a reference, please let me know. I accidentally deleted my PMs.

Dude, whats with the attitude?
I was just asking a question, not griping. The only part of my question that could even be constrewn as a complaint is the portion where I ASK if a week is a long time.
And yes, I have been here long enough and this is the first time honestly that I can ever remember trying to post more than one ad in a weeks time.
Honestly, I can see how if this regulation wasnt in place there would be spammers... Still its a bummer because alot of the time, even if I edit my old ad, it will fall off the page etc. because people only seem to be drawn to the stuff on page 1.
I was just asking a few questions, not trying to rock the boat. And I thought I new all the rules. This one caught me off guard.

And that is why the rule exists.El Jefe wrote: people only seem to be drawn to the stuff on page 1.
Tho it only really applies to 40k and Hordes...
Personally, I find it easier to go through the "find new posts" and "see your posts" options.
Maybe they should be bigger?
