armorcast baneblade/shadowsword

Post by kturock »

a friend of mine just bought an IG army that has a lot of vehicles.
included was an armorcast baneblade/shadowsword. it has both turrets. he's not sure if he wants to keep it or sell it. part of his decision will be based on how much the tank is worth.
any ideas on how much this tank is worth. i think he's stripping it and the priming it, but i'm not sure.

i've seen them with both turrets go between 2 and 300.00 on ebay... but those are with good paint jobs.. i dont know how much a primed one would go for.

NOTE: this is the old armorcast tank, not the newer forge world model.

i just searched ebay, there's 1 with a current bid of $33.. bare resin.

I believe thats the one I've seen the FW one doesn't come with the interchangeable turrets.

I'm a long time armorcast collector. I can tell you the hybrid baneblades complete run on average of 220 brand new. I just sold one of mine which is in horrible shape for $100.

I sold a nicely converted (added webbing and a few other little things) primed black - got $100 with just the single turret. Felt like I did really well to get that.

Sheesh.. I know I'd not pay $200 for it.

Mostly because no one here would ever let me use it, so it would just collect dust.

Baneblades are great I sold one of the armorcast ones here for 90 or something though it did not have the shadowsword part it was just the baneblade.

I had the problem most people do opponents Attitudes to Imperial armour are somewhat like the statement below
"OMG dude I wont play you, you have a baneblade and they are not balanced and broken LOLZ."

These are the same guys who play tricked out eldar/chaos armies. I.E. the 3 wraith lords with the ranger/pathfinder army. (which I think they changed with the new eldar book)

Anyway I sold it.
