I ran across a post stating that the original marines are going to be completely phased out and only the Primarus are going to be supported. I had considered getting back into the game with the launch of 10th (I haven't played in over 7 years) but if this is true...
Is there going to be any actual use for the old Marines or should I just box em and forget em.

They still have rules for 10th edition so i say use your old stuff and have fun

My assumption is that when 11th rolls around the rest of the First Born Marines will be moved to Legends status. They'll have rules still, but won't be in the codex and therefore not legal to run in tournaments. The list above are not in the 10th codex.
