Changes to Trade Reference System

I made a metric ton of changes to the trade reference system. To the standard user, they should seem transparent. Let me know if your score went up or down and it shouldn't have.

The changes were to how the score is calculated and where it's stored making the page much faster.


The next changes are going to be soooo cool.

Before, every time you loaded up a page, the system would search through the 50,000+ references for yours, calculate what your rating should be and display it on the page. This is for every time you view every ad, one trip for each person ( 3 replies, 3 trips to the database and calculations ).

Now, the score is calculated only when your references change and is stored in the same place as your username, email, etc. and so no additional trips to the database are required.

Much faster...

Sweet idea. Sounds like it should help eliminate those "too many connections" errors that we get (used to get?).

Sweet idea. Sounds like it should help eliminate those "too many connections" errors that we get (used to get?).

It will really really really help that problem a whoooole lot. I've noticed a bit of a difference, some people say it's the same, others say it's much faster.
