New Apoc Terrain

Post by eman1_2 »

Anyone picked these up?

I picked up the Firestrom Redoubt. Very nice piece of terrain, and came with rules to use it as a normal fortication in normal 40K.

What was weird is that everything came off the sprue already - wrapped in bags. Just have to file and glue. And, I can hope something was badly damaged when they cut it, and maybe get a second one for free :)

I got the Vengeance and am still waiting for my FS Redoubt. Was pretty easy to put together and the book was nice. Also, pretty solid box.

They are off sprue to help save space.

So the rumor goes.

Allegedly a "sprueless plastic injection mold" so there would not be ANY sprue removal damage.

I have NOT seen this in person, I am merely relaying something I read on the internet-thing.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

It is for sure NOT a sprue-less system. There were a ton of cut points. I suspect that it was done for space, since the box is the same size as the other Wall of Martyrs pieces.

And they do not fit nicely together if you assemble as intended. There is a step piece that you need to leave off if you want you WoM to butt up agianst it nicely.

In the White Dwarf, they say to leave that step off if you want the defence line to connect squarely.

I do not buy WD anymore, and did not know that. And was in a hurry to assemble it, because of all the lascannon goodness. If I had taken the 10 seconds to put the pieces together, I would have figured that out for myself. So I now have to rip 2 stairs off :(

It's the same with the bunkers from the WoM kit as well. All of them come from that step.
