Need some assistance identifying a seedling/plant.

Post by 3eland »

So usually I just reference my big book of plants but usually I need the thing to bloom or some sort of quality that stands out lol. I was going through my yard where I have maple tree seedlings sprouting when I noticed another peculiar plant/seedling growing. I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on what it might be so as I can maybe research further into it or perhaps a website/forum I can bring my questions to for help. It almost looks like a birch seedling but alas I am not sure. I live in Mid-western Ontario (zone 5B) if that helps.
Thanks in advance!

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

I think that's something from the beech tree family.

Four replies until you got a serious one. Sheesh, the people on this board.

And I think I would agree with Rhino. The leaves look like a beech.
