Paypal Question

Post by MEDEVL »

I'm hoping one of you might be able to help me with a Paypal problem. After many years I have finally hit my "spending limit" imposed by Payapl before I have to become "verfied". Is there a way around this?? I have ZERO desire to attach my bank account to Paypal but I would still like to use the service. I don't feel they need access to my bank account as I have always just used the funds I raise to cover my purchases with no need to ever move money into or out of a bank account. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jay

You can apparently also keep using it if you get a paypal credit card.

I have never had a problem with attaching my bank account to paypal. It isn't like it draws money out of your BA without your permission. At this point, I have a savings, checking and a credit card (non-paypal) hooked up to it so I have a variety of options for transfers.

edit: Also, apparently the spending limit policy stems from regulations to do with identifying the owner of the bank account for regulatory purposes. /shrug

"Pay as you go" Credit Cards work, the ones where you put on any amount of money. When I first started off with Paypal I was skeptical as it had just come out so I verified by using a pay as you go MasterCard I bought from the local shopper's drug mart. Worked for me, however that was a while ago so not sure if it still does but it gets out from linking your bank account.

You used to have a piece of mail, not mail, but usps delivered mail sent to your house and then enter the passcode online.

That was back in the beginings of paypal; before it was bought by ebay.

I worked around it by getting the PayPal Debit card.
Buying or Trading, Lower Rating Ships First.
I Trade within the United States only.
I only use and accept Cash App or USPS Money Orders for payments.
