Yeah. I got Mrs. Uslime's voice mail. I just didn't have it in me to call.
Glad to hear she got you to go to the ER. I knew there was no way around it. Any pain that's enough to make me cry out when it hits me? That's worth an ER visit!
...and you KNEW it was pneumonia. You TOLD me. Ya should've just sacked up and gone a week ago!

Back on topic, though...

I agree. Give him a warning and kick him to the curb. if you've got to cancel the deal, stuff him in the DB/Bo thread & neg-ref him, if you think it's worth it.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

If someone says "I'll mail in next day or two" and then doesn't get back to you again, when can you just give up on it and not get labeled backout? I'm not out my money, because I was going to pay after receipt, but the other guy just isn't responding. He was supposed to mail the goods priority the beginning of last week, and nothing since.
Just a thought, but maybe he was trying to see if you were dumb enough to go ahead and pay? And then he was just gonna take the money and run?

Well, I looked his name up on here and he has a history of his same behavior. Just glad I isn't pay first. My PM from yesterday is not read, though he hasn't logged in since either. But with his history, I edited my PM to say this:
Please reply tonight whether the books have already shipped. If they have, please provide tracking information. If they have not, please let me know what is up. If I do not hear from you by tomorrow at 12:00 noon CST, I will assume you have decided to cancel the deal on your side.

It isn't difficult to drop a quick note with an update. Based on our agreement, you were going to send out by priority mail by last Wednesday at the latest (had planned to ship earlier). And if you want to back out of the deal, just let me know as well.

Edit to add on 5/24 at 17:30 CST: after discussion with an admin and a mod, I am considering this deal canceled due to your lack of response. I also looked at your history here and this seems to be a pattern. I cannot stress how well communication would help out. If I had paid first, I would also be filing a claim with PayPal.

Seriously, and I mean this earnestly, communication and follow up is extremely important here. A short note saying there is a delay is often all it would take. I would have been satisfied with that. Ignoring our trade partner and not saying anything will lead to frustration and problems.

As I said above, since you have ignored me after reading m PMS, I am considering his deal canceled. Do not ship the books. If they are mailed after today they will be marked as return to sender and given back to the USPS.

I honestly hope you take what I said to heart and understand that while yes, we are just dealing with games here, we are also dealing with their people's time and money.

Sincerely,
Eric
