Has anyone else had their mail stolen?
I was expecting 2 different packages to be delivered to my apartment on April 27th from 2 different traders(according to delivery confirmation). I spoke to the post office and the mail carrier, they confirmed that the packages were indeed delivered. It was on a Friday so I was at work and not able to be home to get them. I have since made arrangements to have the post office notify me if I have a package and for me to pick it up in person. I have been at this address for about 4 years and this is the first time this has happened.
I was supposed to receive a Hordes Legion of Everblight plastic starter kit from one trader and 2 Carnivians from another. I would have liked to see the looks on the thief's face as he was opening them up. "What the hell is this?"
(I also want the thief to get the worst kind of cancer.)
Anybody else?

Never had one stolen, but I have had it where the DC# showed they had been delivered but turned up at the post office a week later.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

Contact the postal inspectors, that's a felony. punishable by 5 years & $5000 fine PER incident.
also contact your local police and insist on filing a report.
if you apartment building has a security camera, it should show who did it.
The inspectors can contacted from a tab on the bottom of the site www.usps.com . Keep all of your corresponence showing the worth of the items as well as the d/c showing they were delivered.
DO IT NOW.

Also double check with the apartment office personnel. I had a similar scare years back and it turned out the post office left the packages at the office.

There is no office personel and no cameras. I talked to a couple of my neighbors, they didn't see anything. I'm sure if I file a report, the same thing is going to happen as when I reported my bike stolen last year: Nothing.
I'm just going to chalk this up as a bad experience.

You might want to look into renting a post office box.

No, the LEO won't do anything, but the postal inspectors will.

You could have someone leave a box at your door, meanwhile having installed a small security camera (they can be bought cheaply). Catch the bugger on film!

Want my help with a BTR or backout? All messages sent/posted should be in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Otherwise, I just won't read it.

Re: Has anyone else had their mail stolen?
I haven't had any mail stolen yet as I'm usually around when UPS or fedex comes through. USPS won't deliver large boxes to my apartment complex, I have to go get them. However, I've seen packages on other peoples' doors all the time and only heard of one package go missing in the two years i've lived here. If something did disappear, you can bet I'd file reports and do what MM suggests.

Re: Has anyone else had their mail stolen?
I have had tons of my packages stolen.
That's why if any of you guys have traded with me,(I know you have just a few times Eric
) I always send my packages to the P.O. address.
Chris
That's the best way to go. (In my opinion)I just filed a complaint with the postal inspector. I also have arranged to have the post office notify me when I have a package and for me to pick it up personally.

Re: Has anyone else had their mail stolen?
What most people don't realise is that's it's a felony to steal mail, but it's not to steal from UPS or FedEx; unless the dollar value is over a specific amount.
It's 5 years and a $5000 fine PER item. The local police don't care, though they should.
That's been arule since, and because of the pony express days.
