Strangest shipping container.

Post by locust »

A few weeks ago I won an auction on the feebay for a couple of Heroclix figs. When I received them, I had to laugh due to the strangest shipping container that I have ever gotten in the mail. Frankly I am absolutely astounded that the Post Office accepted and shipped it. What is this mystery container, you ask?

A common soup can...

That's it right there. This was taken after I had opened it, but the lid was taped shut with that rubber band around it. I had to laugh, but my stuff was fine, and there was no soupy smell. So I don't know what kind it was, though I did sniff at it to find out.

So, now I must ask. What is the strangest container that you have ever shipped or received an item in.

Strangest one wins 50 internets. :-o
Go on, laugh! But one day, you'll be sitting in your house feeling all safe and secure... Then you'll look over and I'll be there... Doin'... stuff!

LOL! That's is great! I am amazed that they let that in the system as well.

Well all my packages have been pretty tame compared to that. I did get a oatmeal box.... but that was about it.... the rest just normal boxes.

I got a Wii system and games shipped to me in a box that originally housed an Artificial Leg...
2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

Folks I am awaiting a ref from.. Zack

I had a miniature (a feebay purchase) shipped to me in a tall, narrow asparagus can.

I had a shipment from here sent in a clear plastic container (like a large rectangular tupperware style bowl). It was a cheap, fragile plastic and shattered to all get out. Everything arrived, though, because the entire container was covered in packing tape, so it held all the shattered little remnants together.
