Squat help?

Post by starslayer »

I like Space Dwarves, "Squats". I had a huge Epic Squat army, but sold it years & years ago. Id like to try Squats in 40K. I could probably just use Imperial Guard or Space Marine rules.
Problem is - what figures? Mantic has some , but Id rather have a GW -looking Dwarf. They just arent the same. (but those Space Skaven look sweet!!)
I saw some conversions using Fantasy Dwarf bodies & either Cadian arms or Space Marine Scout arms. Has anyone found an easy tutorial or step by step? I cant seem to find any good ones. Or even another compnay that has some good Space Dwarves.

Id also like to stick with my old Epic army paint scheme. I think it was Mjolnir or Mjolnia. It was red/yellow/green with a white badge. (i think) Maybe it was in the old Epic Ork & Squat Warlords supplement.
I loved those unit cards!!! Great , fun & easy way to army organization.

Any help??

I also heard a rumor that a form of Squats/Demiurg will be an ally race with the new Tau. Like Kroot & Vespids.

Thanks for the help. Ive seen them before. Not exactly what Im looking for. The Grymns arent stocky/bearded enough for me. The Scrunts are close to what I want.

I might be stuck with Mantic or converting my own.

Black Tree Design is re-releasing their old Space Dwarves next month. I think there were 9 different figures.

Originally there were 9. So there are 3 more. If you keep searching you can find them. I think 3 were dropped for some reason. So I don't know how many will br realeaded this time.

Your right they had 3 more. In their latest newsletter they had the above so we just might see the other 3 down the road. I think they would fit in nicely with the old squats. NP on the pic
