Just send it in an envelope and tell the person.

Or perhaps renegotiate the deal.

You're looking for FUTURE trades?

Easy. Go over everything before you send it and be certain you're sending everything.
It's not hard, really.
Sending sprues? Look to ensure there aren't any gaps on the sprue.
Sending multi-part models? Make certain you have all the elements (legs, torso, head, 2 arms, etc).
Etc.

Perhaps, if that doesn't help, you could clarify what kind of specific help you're looking for.

On EVERY trade, ALWAYS LIST EVERYTHING in BOTH sides of the deal.

For example,
I'm trading you:

1 sealed box, NIB new style GK. [5 minis]
6 built, unpainted, unprimed, built, plastic GK terms.
10 spray primed white, built, plastic BA SM, w/ bolters.
12 primed spay primed black, built, plastic Khorne berserkers w/bolt pistols & hand weapon.

for your:

10 new current style, built, plastic,Warriors of Chaos, bare plastic.
20 previous edition, built, plastic WoC, primed black.
2 current edition chaos chariots, built primed black.
3 still on sprue [NoS], unpainted, chaos spawn.

We cover our own shipping. You ship 1st.

Right?

End example.

Then it's alway in every PM. I try to relist it everytime until we agree upon a deal.

That way you have a check list of what your putting into the box.
Retailers do, you should also.

SHIPPING NOTE: You should always have a list of what minis are being shipped, with both addresses; to and from; inside the box.

Although I'm often guilty of forgetting until too late, this is excellent advice.

Tell 'em what happens if a box comes open and the USPS can't figure out what goes where, kt! : )

If it looks like it's "of obvious value" [like jewelry] it goes to a "lost & found". Otherwise, it goes in the trash. Sorry, toys aren't obvious value.

But... but....
They're not toys! They're sculptures. They're miniature works of art!

No, usually my then, they're tiny, little shreds of plastic.
Sometimes, they're also crushed bits of plastic.

So.. terrain, then..

gotcha.

I need to check with my post office to see if they have any random rubble for me..

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

Folks I am awaiting a ref from.. Zack
