Contacting deleted accounts

Post by Weasel-Fierce »

Hi,

I wonder if any of the mods can help me. I've been searching for some particular figures and found a member who has everything I need. Good news, right? Unfortunately, I discovered the member had their account deleted for having multiple usernames. I'd still very much like to get in touch with them by email to organize a trade. If anyone could be of assistance I'd be most grateful - the username was direavenger.

Thanks

The account were deleted and he was ejected from b-town for being a scammer and/or a bad trader. That's why they usually have more than 1 account.

Contacting a known thief isn't usually a good idea.

The odds are good he doesn't have what he saysm, and won't send it to you if he does.
Heh, I was called a Grognard. ;-)

Ah I see. Thanks for the heads-up. I'm new to the site so I'm not familiar with the scammers. Since I live in New Zealand most of my trading has been on eBay up to this point.

If you really want his items, you may be able to find him over on DakkaDakka.com. Trade with him at your own risk.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

IH has it right.

That said, there are people who have been banned for other reasons. If you had an ongoing trade with them when they were banned, you could PM us for their email address. Once you showed that you had an ongoing trade, we'd make sure you were able to get in touch with him (provided ONE of you had already shipped something).

If, on the other hand, you just want the contact information from a banned trader (because they had stuff you liked, or for any other reason), we would NOT provide it.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.
