And the Finecast models are looking tight. The detail just looks so much finer and crisper.

Just got my White Dwarf today, and there are some pretty snazzy looking Finecast models in there. Maybe I drank the Kool Aid, but I kind of like the direction these guys are taking. A very good friend of mine has said... You are buying the hobby, not the model.

...and before I get flamed, also rmember this is my opinion and an opinion is worth exactly what you pay for it.

Just the specail characters and such, recast in resin? What I saw on the site, nothing was new.

They're recasting all of their metal figures in resin now. They still haven't announced exactly what type of resin they're using, to my knowledge, but the models are looking a lot nicer.

You can still get some metal figs, but they've stopped production on them.

I just want to know if it is easier to remove the mold lines then it is on the PP resin. I know the GW stance, I want to know the real world stance.

What's nice is that some of the old, large models that were formerly sold singly in metal are now being packaged in squads/units in Finecast. Ushabti are up for preorder already, and are actually FAR cheaper in that formation/material than they ever were as single metal models. Ever so slightly offsets the bump in price of other Finecast pieces, if you're building a whole new army.
