Points per reference?

Post by Joeb »

My first reference gave me 2 points. So is it 2 points per good reference, 1 per neutral, 0 for bad reference?

2 for good, 1 for neutral, -10 for negative. And Negs show up as an angry maroon when you check references.

Actually, I think it is +2 good, 0 Neutral (and you get a tannish colored ref), and -10 for a negative (angry red).

It used to be +1 for a neutral, but I think that was a ways back.

This is correct. Although the previous neutral +1s were not removed, so there are folks with odd ref counts still.

I believe that they only count until you get a new reference, at which point the system recalculates the neutrals and revises the score.

So--if you had one neutref and a score of 135, your next posref would leave you with a score of 136.

Nope.

We've had a history of neutrals being worth +1 or +0. Right now, they're worth +0.

They were +1, then +0, then +1 again, and then +0 (now).

That's the way they will likely be staying.
If you received a neutral during the red cycle above, your neutral did not recalculate when we went to the following +0 phase. Due to changes in the code, however, if you received a neutral during the blue phase shown above, it does recalculate.
the only thing I haven't looked into is if the recalculation was automatic or is reliant on receiving another reference.

Hope that clarifies.
