It depends on the ad. Almost all fall off but, occasionally, they hang around. Things like polls will keep an ad around. So will a sticky, of course.
PM me a link to it and the name of those PMing you?
Thanks.
Eric

Lower rating? You ship first.
Give me a sense of humor Lord. Give me the grace to see a joke.
To get some humor out of life and pass it on to other folk.
I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Re: bartertown shenanigans, lol.
trade ad necromancy?
Neat.
Ok, so the guy says that he did attempt to mail it, but did not attach a routing slip so the mail room didn't mail it. No word on if it was mailed again,
He seems like a decent sort and even offered to try and make it up, but really, I just want the trade completed. Its not as important to me for anyone to "make it up to me" if they want to toss in other stuff thats fine, but really, I'd rather just have a tracking number and be done.
I have an at home mailing system, so I can mail the same day, I might be asking too much in expecting as fast shipments, but its been weeks, now<

For the brief period I'm here again, I'd be very interested in what you figured out about canadian customs, Karl. I've had issues with it, i know I'm not the only one...

Items finally arrived, by the way, so not all is lost. A few items were missing, waiting to see what resolution we can come to,

Narceron, I hear you on the issues you've come across. I've been here since 2003 and I swear I have a "scam me" sticker on me somewhere lol. I've had too many bad experiences, the last one "encouraged" me to take a 4 year (or so) hiatus from trading online altogether. Much like you described in your initial post, the trader in question "ended up in jail" and amongst other things my package was never shipped, ended up destroyed or otherwise missing by his ex wife and zero compensation received. Thankfully it was a bunch of bitz (metal sadly) that I'm out rather than a much more expensive mishap.
Something I've been noticing lately (since I've come back) is extreme low-balling. I've had as low as 30% retail offered (including shipping fees!) on models that people haven't even requested photos of. You know, if the models are overglued, broken, otherwise largely unusable without devoting a weekend to repair, sure.... but in one case being bare plastic clipped from sprue unassembled...
After one offer I seriously contemplated making a youtube video of models in the microwave...
