Second Edition Nid parts?

I'm back withmore craaazy questions.
I'm thinking about building a Tyranid army in the far-off future. Probably 500-1000 points to use as a break from my Ultramarines in low-point shop tournaments.
With a points threshold that low, I was thinking of buying all OOP second edition models to make the army. All metal, all the time!
Folks sell bits and models on eBay all the time from the old kits, but many have been bastardized with modern plastics and such. If I were to salvage these models ot make my army, I'd have to return them to original form.
Where would I find parts diagrams for these models? I know the second edition Ultramarines codex has invaluable metal kit diagrams that I've used in the past. Does the second edition Nid codex also have these? Are the diagrams present for ALL of the Nid models from that era?
