Metal Marine Biker legs?

Post by TheRhino »

Hey all.
Just spotted an eBay auction for Space Marine Biker parts that contained pewter leg sets. I wasn't aware that GW ever made metal legs for their bikers. I know they have/had pewter uppers for the bike squads (melta/plasma/sergeant).
Anyone know the source of these metal leg sets, and perhaps a pink to a pic of the side-on views of them?

There's two of these from the same guy. More than I'd pay for biker parts, but interesting nonetheless.

Bikes also looked different.

...and some were still different than that. The ones I had looked more like the current, but still not like them.

Yeah, I see those ugly all-metal lumps on eBay all the time, and folks snap em up like candy. Collector's value = high, gamer's value = low.

I wouldn't say gaming value is low. They're perfectly playable, and much more proportionate than the current SM bikes. The one piece bikes are excellent for Imperial Guard Rough Riders as well.

Yea, I've seen people make Cadian Rough Riders out of them. Those look pretty good. However, when placed along side the current crop of SM models they DO look incredibly dinky.

I thing the Chaplin in the Ravenwing box set in 2nd had metal legs as well I think. That is the set that, that plasma gunner torso came in as well.
