I am impressed with the two army styles you can go with fast glass cannon or a slower hard to kill army. I did not expect this. second option. I am seriously put off with the 60 point raider though. This is completely out to lunch for a 10/10/10

So, has anyone seen any pdf's of the codex yet? There are no GW's in the St. Louis area.

Of course, I'm not asking for anyone to PM me a link to a download or anything like that.

I'm just... curious... to see if anyone's had a chance to really study the dex better than they could by reading it at their GW.

You are misinformed, good sir.
I do not practice Google-fu. My preferred method of e-combat is Google-Jitsu. Log ago did I abandon the ways of the Fu, for it rhymes with Wu... and that is not a good thing to rhyme with.

Also, I was just wondering if anyone I "knew" (with that word being subjective, of course) had seen it. I'm certain that there are pdf's out there SOMEWHERE.

My only reason for asking, of course, is that I was curious about the movement rates for Scourges & Hellions.
Wondering if they counted as Jump packs or what.

Yep. That is my only reason.
[indignant look] I'm very disappointed that some of you may be thinking I was looking for an illegal copy. Shame on you.
I can wait until Nov for my copy. [/indignant look]

i was at the flgs sunday. 1 of the players of 40k, who follows it strongly, iad he has a pdf he got from online. i asked where and he wouldn't say, but said, it's ok, i got it on pre-order.

today while at the flgs, i talked to the manager about preorders, getting a % on preorders or on a certain $ amount of a preorder and if they got the codex in advance.
they order directly from gw and were running tournaments. he said he wasn't offered a preview copy and never knew/thought about asking for 1. he said he'd order what ever I wanted, and 'thought' it would be in on time..

i've seached online, and the only sites that say they have the 5th ed, are the scam sites, wanting you to subscribe and PAY to download.

I wish GW offered pdf's with a preorder of the printed version.

Pinnacle Entertainment group, does that, as well as offering about every book as pdf as well as printed.

Hell yeah I'd pay $10 more for a pdf now with my preorder of a codex.

every gw book is out there online...somewhere.. not selling pdf's is just biting themselves in the foot.
people who want to not pay for stuff, will always find away.
Heh, I was called a Grognard. ;-)

With the advent of the iPad, Kindle, and Nook; I can't see why GW will not eventually go that route.

Black Library has just recently decided to take the digital plunge. I WISH GW would release their army books and rule books via PDF. Just carrying around an iPad with every army book and rule book stored on it would save SO much space in the gaming bags, not to mention the weight of all those books.

Don't they have to actually ANSWER the question before that would be of any use?

You maen, do they answer them the same way twice?

Call the GW line and see if you get the same answer twice, or even the right one.
