Can IoB spearmen be converted easily to DE warriors?

Hey folks,

I hate the current dark elf warriors and was wondering if the spearmen from the Isle of Blood could be easily converted to dark elves? My biggest thing is- could I get rid of the bows? Would the heads come off reasonably well so I could substitute? Please let me know, I need to get on a block of 30 spears.

I think the heads would come off reasonably well, would need to do some putty work around the seem.

As for the bow, that might be a bit of a problem. While you can carve them off you'll need to be able to redo the mail etc or cloaks with putty.

I would say in the end it would depend on how much putty work you wanted to do.

Yeah way to much work on the guys, unless you wanted to take the cheap route out and just give them new shields and paint them a dark color no one would know the difference. haha
