I guess it depends on what you are doing. For good fast table top you cant beat the foundations and washes. Show peices, I would go reaper or model color. The 80's gw paints are still available, coat d' arms used to make them they just changed the names when gw went with the cheap china stuff.
I use Standard Bartertown rules
Lower ships first, even if its me.
I use USPS Priority with tracking. Please do the same.
I always take the utmost care when packing my minis. I expect the same.
Any packages that arrive with poorly packed and unsecured models will be considered a deal breaker. I understand that the package is not in your control during transit, but the packing is in your control. If models are sliding around in the box that's BAD.

Off of this list I prefer P3 paints. ALthough, saying I prefer one brand is kind of difficult for me to do as I mix so many different paint lines. I mean, if I want to do actual metallic paints I use GW as P3's metals are atrocious. If I want to do silver NMM I break out my Vallejo as their range of greys is so extensive I don't have to do much mixing and their grey paints just seem to be of a higher quality to me. I've been trying out Andrea's black kit and that's pretty nice, too. If I need to get something done quick and dirty, (army painting as opposed to painting single figs for fun,) you can't beat GW's foundation and wash sets. Mixing badab black and devlan mud 50/50 is one of the best all purpose washes I've ever come across. I still use a couple of Rackham paints as well. (I've managed to stockpile a couple of favorites.) Patina green, if you can find a bottle anywhere, is phenomenal for weathering brass and bronze.
Anyways, I'm carrying on. My point is, calling one line my favorite is pretty difficult.

I have tried many different brands of paint and I prefer the Citadel ones thus far.

Of the three listed, I've only ever used the Vallejo. It seemed a bit thin for my tastes. I like the look of the Vallejo colors that I have, but I don't like the fact that I have to use 3 or 4 coats so that the primer doesn't show through. I really like the dropper bottles.
My biggest gripe with Citadel/GW paints is that it is so hard to get them on my palette to mix them or thin them out.
I admit to being nothing more than an adequate painter (my stuff would rate about a 5 or 6 if I took my time), and I primarily use craft paints from places like Michael's due to the significant cost differential and the broader color palette. So, take my opinion for what it's worth.

You have problems with Vallejo not covering? Really?mstrchef13 wrote:Of the three listed, I've only ever used the Vallejo. It seemed a bit thin for my tastes. That has never been a problem for me (barring red, yellow or orange over black primer, of course). I have been painting minis for about 25 years, now. I started with craft paints. I still use a couple, but only for the basics (metallics & black, mostly). When they were all I used, I had TONS of problems with them. Sure, they're thicker than vallejo (actually NOT a good thing, though), but there isn't as much pigment in the paint.
A higher ratio of pigment (which Vallejo, etc has) allows a thinner paint to do a better job than a thicker paint.
Of course, as always, YMMV.
