Hey all.
I've heard tales of a piece of prepainted GW terrain that was produced int he past, which is a partial piece of a ruined Space Marine Chapel. it had some painted stained glass in it, and was made of resin, IIRC? There's currently an eBay auction for one of these suckers, which gives a nice pic of the piece.
I don't have the funds to BUY one of these at them moment (wife's birthday), but was looking for information on the piece in general.
When was it produced/distributed?
Was it part of some sort of promotion?
Was it a preassembled and prepainted kit?
What are the measurements of the piece?
Anyother info available for this?
Honestly,it's a rather underwheling piece of "terrain", but looks like a nice display stand for a small squad of Marine figs or something. Just wanted to know more about it.

Whew.When was it produced/distributed?
Three? Four years ago?
Nope. Just a terrain piece they put out.Was it part of some sort of promotion?
As I understand it (I never saw one straight from the box), they were supposed to have been prepainted pieces... but I've seen them painted in a few different color schemes. Was it a preassembled and prepainted kit?
Lay your hand down on the table. Spread your fingers out as wide as you can. What are the measurements of the piece?
Bigger than that.
That, of course, not being exact. LOL
IIRC, they were around $70 to $75 new. I don't remember exactly, but I remember thinking they were a bit pricey... and I'd be surprised if they were resin. They were pretty darn haevy, IIRC.Anyother info available for this?

More than 5 years ago, back when i still worked for GW.TheRhino wrote:When was it produced/distributed?
It was a tie-in for the Eye of Terror, I believe. It was limited.TheRhino wrote:Was it part of some sort of promotion?
Prepainted, though a lot of the detail was poor. You had to assemble it by pushing the top part into the bottom part. There is a dead (Chaos?) Marine in the rubble.TheRhino wrote:Was it a preassembled and prepainted kit?
Roughly 10" by 7" by 9" high.TheRhino wrote:What are the measurements of the piece?
It was made of some sort of resin. The bottom was covered in felt with a logo and copyright on it (iirc). The stained glass was cool but fragile. It sold poorly.TheRhino wrote:Anyother info available for this?
I'd pay $30 for one though.
I am always in the market for weird and wonderful GW oddbitz and ephemera. PM me if you have something old/weird/rare.

Excellent, thanks all.
$30 would be about my limit as well. The big, glaring thing I don't like about it is the painted aquila on the floor. Looks like it was done in magic marker.
