Horus Heresy... Played it?
Hello Bartertowners,
Has anybody out there played the old (circa 1983ish) Horus Heresy board game?
Any thoughts on what you thought of it would be appreciated.
I know that FFG is putting out a new version of the Horus Heresy game and after reading all of the books I am interested in it.
The price tag might be limiting, but I just wanted to see if anybody around here had played it and what they thought of it.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Karl

Is that the one that is an epic version of the assault on the emperor's palace?

Well, I believe the old version played just like epic, but with a special scenario.

The old version was a chit based wargame, similar in lots of ways to Avalon Hill wargames. I never played it, but saw it played several times at my old gaming store, back in the day..

The rules and supplements are free for download from the GW site. The rules for Epic are here:http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... Id=4900003
This idea behind the game was so you could play whole IG regiments and SM companies, and titans.
