Hey all,
I was just curious how many different editions of the "How to Make Wargames Terrain" book have been printed. So far, I think I've see two different versions: the current blue-bordered book, and an older, red-bordered book.
Anyone have both, and know how vastly they differ? Does the old book contain things that the new one does not?

They are tremendously different. I would un-hesitatingly recommend the new book over the old; it's techniques are far more advanced and well presented than the old book.
The old one was the product of it's time. Look at 2nd ed 40k; if that's the style of terrain you want, the old book will help you. I have both, and I do refer to the old one now and then, but the new one is just better all around, IMO.

I am always in the market for weird and wonderful GW oddbitz and ephemera. PM me if you have something old/weird/rare.

I guess I have to replace my ancient red copy now.
I've also heard good things about some military model maker diorama books, they can be very helpful, if you can make sense of them. I've been meaning to pick this one up for a while. Someone suggested it.

Hope that helps any.
