US Skulz Program:

Does anyone collect anything from this very limited program? I have a copy of the special edition space marines standard bearer that I am considering selling.

I have a couple of the 10 pt bolt pistol key chains, but I've never seen anyone interested in them.

I've got Sigmar's Hammer....somewhere, not sure where now that I think of it. Also have the Blood Dragon BSB which is on the long list of "to do" projects for eBay. I have seen those go unpainted for anywhere between 25 to 40 bucks and there is a certain retailer on eBay that sells recasts of those once in awhile. I also have the Adeptus Mechanicus set that I am hanging on to with the hope of painting it up one day for Golden Demon when I can find some spare time.

I think the SM BSB that you have would sell, but it depends on what you are looking to get for it.

Yeah, I should think you could get rid of the SM BSB pretty easy. Gold mine? Doubt it, but a decent amount.

I have like 4 of the Sigmar Hammers and I have one of the Adeptus Models. A deal where the guy fell behind the shelf after I sold him and had to refund money because I had lost it. A move to a new house found him, still in his baggie with a rusting staple closing it up...hide-and-seek basterd...
Lower rating? I ask that you ship first. Also, if I offer a stupidly good deal and you try to negotiate even lower...don't call it bad communication that you didn't get a reply. I deleted the message.

I certainly appreciate the feedback fellas. Thank you.

I didn't realize that I had this until just before my post this afternoon. I felt like the lady in the news that had purchased a Picasso for 2 bucks at a yard sale!!

I really wouldn't know WHAT to ask for it and had little idea where to begin, thus, this thread.

Well, I guess I could sit on it for an indeterminable mount of time, or sell it to the highest bidder here or on feebay. The idea of trading it had also crossed my mind, but I feel that it would have to be really justified for some things I have been looking for... say a LoTD Sgt. Centurius or another "grail" in my book.

Anyone else want to chime in?

I never really went for the figures from the program. Hindsight say's i shoulda, but i got my money's worth out of the program I think.

3 years of not paying for WD, and a couple figure cases weren't bad. oh and a sigmar hammer as well.

I've chased down a few things, like your Standard Bearer and the AdMech set. The SM Captain was pretty common; the Bretonnian General more scarce. I'm a collecting addict, and it would never occur to me to collect the Skulz stuff as a set so much. Instead, when hunting for Marines, I've filled out all the different LE Marines, and the same with the AdMech etc.

In fact, except for the AdMech, the Marine Standard, and Maybe the Hammer, Bolt Pistol, and Key Chain, I don't think the Skulz program stuff was LE as such. I think a lot of it was available elsewhere.

You should anticipate no trouble moving that Standard for $40-$50. I paid about that for mine. Even if it did have a damned Ultra symbol on it.
I am always in the market for weird and wonderful GW oddbitz and ephemera. PM me if you have something old/weird/rare.

If i add up the things i know for sure 100% that i got, i'm up to 386

2x GW Figure case - 100
3x years WD - 150
1x hobby kit - 50
1x Battlemat - 25
1x Space marine paint set - 25
1x Space marine Captain - 25 (still have him, forgot he was a skulls promotion at first)
1x sigmar hammer -10
1 skullz sticker stuck the the inside lid of my work toolbox.

That Marine Captain and Bret. General weren't Skullz models originally. They came out in like '99?? I might be off by a year or so. They were included inside their respective game's starter box as Christmas bonuses. I remember it was when I worked for GW retail during uni. (Yes, I was a red shirt.)

I managed to 'acquire' a bunch of those bolt pistols, use them as give-aways at events. There's a whole Cub Sprout Pack running around with them here due to me. About the only piece I've made sure to keep is one of the AdMech sets. Had four of them at one time (won a set at a GT, etc etc), down to one and some partials. I think I have the SM Standard Bearer, but with the Ultra stuff dremeled off.
Almost anything along these lines should do fairly well on Feebay.

I know I received some rewards from the program but really can't recall specifics. I'm sure, though, that I probably took advantage of the WD subs. Did they have gift certificates as well? I seem to recall having one for a small amount that I never redeemed. Post-promotion I did acquire a set of AdMech minis. As a Templar player I have one of the SM Captains also. Got an Imperial Eagle buckle in trade and bought one of the little pins when Bulldog was still churning out their iconic stuff.

I have a few of the pieces as well but I have been after the Adeptus Mechanicus set of guys for some time now. Being an Adeptus Maechanicus player they would be a nice addition to the army. I have never had the cash whenever I have seen them come up.

I have several of the eagle pins as well, and a few of the buttons that they handed out at GD like ten years ago.....Ah, those were the days!

Heh, I'm on my third Imperial Eagle belt buckle. Used to wear them every day, but after the first two broke in half I relegated them (have two) to special event status. And the two I've got now, I got here on Bartertown!!

Definitely! Somehow, I seem to have acquired two Christmas Captains, one of which I sold; the other one is primed white, awaiting a chance to be painted. All this without ever having participated in the Skullz promotion!

I have the Ultramarine Standard Bearer, too. He came cheap with an eBay lot because the special base he stands on was missing. Since I play Blood Angels, he's not really useful to me (there is a lot of Ultramarine iconography on this model), but I like hanging on to hard-to-find models like the Ork Stormboy of Khorne and historic terminators.

Promotions differ from country to country, too. I remember folks in the UK going nutzo over the female Catachan trooper with the grenade launcher and female commisar with power sword and laspistol, despite these models being commonly available here in the US - the grenade launcher in a three-pack of Catachan special weapons and the commisar by herself.

I'm holding on to one of each of these in the hope that some day, I may paint up a retinue for an Inquisitor that feature either grenade-launcher-toting Warriors (I have some Kasrkin and Storm Troopers with special weapons), power sword-toting Acolytes, or both!
