The thing that got in the way of me putting prices initially is that we all know everyone here is out to get a deal. I have no problem with that, I'm after a deal too. Sometimes, though, I don't have a price point set in my mind, so I want to see what someone is willing to offer. Case in point, some of my RPGs still do not have prices listed - mainly because I'm not sure how much to ask for them.
I looked at your RPG's.
I did contemplate and am contemplating a PM, in fact.
Honestly, what holds people up is the uncertainty.
Look your items up on feebay or Amazon. You'll see a lot of people asking HUGE prices for OOP AD&D.
Now, look @ completed auctions. They don't typically get it. For every high dollar item that sells, 10 DON'T sell at the same price.
The problem is that a few select pieces DO sell like that, which gives people hope that *theirs* might. So, they want the high prices.
When I see posts like yours, I have to take in a few factors.
Nevermind that you want what I have precious little of to spare (cash). I have to decide if you might be one of those speculators who's hoping their items might be worth that higher price and, if so, if I'm willing to deal with it. Those people tend to start WAY higher than my BEST price, and that is a hard negotiation to find common ground on. It fails 5 or 10 times for each success. many successes are deals with people who fell through before, because they wanted too much the first time.
Typically, I just ignore the thread because I'm not willing to deal with that hassle.
I don't pay more than about $5 a piece for any old AD&D item, because I know it's just a matter of time until I find one at the price I want to pay. They were printed by the tens (and possibly hundreds) of thousands. VERY few items have broken that price point.
A price point to start from, or even something as simple as "I'm not looking for collectors prices" or "Most importantly, I want to get these to somewhere where they'll be used, instead of boxed away" or something similar will increase your response level.
What also helps? Make a discussion thread you can tie into your sales ad.
