Hey, Guys!
I need some help from my fellow B'Towners! I'm looking for suggestions for colors to use on armored vehicles of the 1967 Arab/Israeli Six Day War. Specific paint color names, manufacturers and any special detailing techniques you'd like to share would be greatly appreciated. Also, any good reference book titles would be great! At the moment, I only need colors for Egyptian and Israeli vehicles. Oh, and does anyone know where to get decals (15mm) for this period. I saw some once but cannot for the life of me remember where or who the manufacturer was. I look forward to all your input! My T-54's and AMX-13's thank you and I thank you!
Sincerely,
Bryant

Re: Need Help With Armor Colors
Testors Model Master series makes a color that should be spot on for your Israeli vehicles. It is called, strangely enough, Israeli Armor Sand Grey, and the stock # is 4814. That # may have changed as I have an older bottle, but it may be good. I know that it's sold at Hobby Town and I'd guess anyplace else that carries the Model Master range. I know it's not much help, but it's a start. Also, here's a link to Osprey Publishing's site for books on the Six Day war. http://www.ospreypublishing.com/text_se ... ar&Group=1
Go on, laugh! But one day, you'll be sitting in your house feeling all safe and secure... Then you'll look over and I'll be there... Doin'... stuff!
