Prime white
Thin layer Bleached Bone
wash Devlan Mud

Re: lf a painter
My suggestion would be Gryphonne Sepia instead of the Devlan Mud. My experience has been that looks more 'old dry bones" than the Mud, which makes things look "dirty".. (Mud is great for Orks, dunno about the DW).

Re: lf a painter
I agree with 'Slime - Sepia woks much better for a smooth bone look, while Devlan achieves a dirty, darker look.

I mean, "kk" is in place of "ok" or "okay." So, kk instead of ok? It's the same # of keystrokes.

Re: lf a painter
These are my Deathwing termies from a while back: I prefer the kinda cream coloured bone.
Recipe:
Basecoat: Menoth White Base (P3)
Wash the whole thing with Gyph Sepia
Highlight 1: Jack Bone (P3)
Highlight 2: Menoth White Base (P3)

Re: lf a painter
Not necessarily.
"KK" is horrifyingly lazy. I mean, the ignored letter is immediately above and to the right of the one duplicated. It's one of the worst examples of netspeak abbreviations.
"TY" is more easily ignored, as it eliminates 7 keystrokes.
If we were a chat based forum, then that style of typing would be more understandable. With 15 or 20 people in a chat, you need to get your message out fast in order to be "heard." In MMORPG's, a fast message can be life or death, as I understand it (don't play them).
On forums, however, how FAST you get your message across isn't nearly as important as how accurately you do. There's a totally different focus.
Additionally, my message was preventative in nature.
Perhaps the user in question posts a dozen or 2 posts like that, and nobody says anything. One day, he comes along and posts a message that looks like nothing more than a string of random letters (to some of us). As a staff member, one of us brings it up to him, asking him not to spam the forum with posts of random gibberish, and issues him a warning for it. He replies, ticked off at having a warning, that it's not gibberish (then proceeds to decipher the post for us). When we reply that he should endeavor to use complete words in an understandable fashion he responds by getting upset that nobody ever had a problem with it before. Checking his post history, sure enough, there are a whole lot of messages like the ones above where staf members replied in the thread, but never brought it up to him.
Like I said, more common keystroke savers are generally ignored. The "leetspeak" and "netspeak" ones, though, especially the more "gamer related" ones can go a bit too far. "KK" above was unnecessary. "TY" was just compounded onto the already unnecessary abbreviation (which, really, wasn't even an abbreviation for "ok," as it's the same length).
Hope that clears up the thought process a bit.
