So what do you think of these color schemes?

Post by Imaginos »

Here is what I am playing with for my Tau. Still in starting of assembly mode, so no paint on models yet. But here is what I am considering.

Kind of iffy on this one, I like both of the others better. This one seems very striking scorpionish. Well, that answers that, the URL didn't copy right, so I lost this one. Guess that settles the question there. Hehe.

I like this one, but it feels very old school wolverine to me. I'm not so sure about this one, but the color might be a nice addition to the minis since the next one is darker.

And this is my favorite, but I'm not sure how good it will look on a tabletop.

I know the trick on the first one will be to get the yellow to stand out. My plan on the second one would be to go with a blue base all over (after primer), then ink the underarmor so it gets just a couple of shades darker.

I'm not sure if it is just me, those links just bring me to a blank page.

hes sending us to pics posted on bolter and chainsword.. I think it's better if he were to put them on photoshop.. isnt it like screwing with bandwith sending us to a non image hosting site?
I follow the idea LOWER references ships/pays first. It keeps things safer for anyone, as I would never desire to have to start over again. Nor would I want to loose the trust of any fellow gamers. That is how I ended up with my reference collection! I always follow through with my deal!

Unless it is a painter app that requires B&C membership.

My bad folks. I'll get the links fixed and post images when I get home from work. Sorry about that. Taking links down now.

For the record, the painter program doesn't require membership as I don't have a membership at B&C.

Here are the pics. I prefer pic 2, but am not sure how well it would look on a mini.

Not a big fan of pic 1.
Maybe a darker shade of yellow might work.

I like the "Tau police force" look. You could make it as complicated or simple as you wanted.

Debating on whether to go with yellow or white in the Tau Police force scheme. Part of me says white, part says keep it yellow to represent the badge. I'm leaning toward white, with some yellow decoration - maybe the emblem on the shoulder.

I think the yellow/gold contrasts the blue FAR better than white would.
