Anyone know a good ebay-compatible image hosting service?
Hi Bartertown
So Auctiva has decided to start charging for their image hosting services. Not only that, but they're going WAY over the top in terms of fees for using their templates & image hosting for ebay auctions.
Does anyone know of a free, or at least reasonably-priced, image hosting service that can be integrated with ebay (by this, I mean setting up a block of text & images that will appear in an ebay auction's "Description" section)? I know about Photobucket, Flickr, etc... but those services don't provide the features I need.
Thanks!

1. Lower rating ships first, unless we agree otherwise.
2. Delivery confirmation is required on all US trades.
3. I will not mark an international package as a "gift". It's a felony, so please don't ask.

Re: Anyone know a good ebay-compatible image hosting service?
I'm looking for something that would allow me to place images into the description portion of an ebay ad. Ebay's standard listing program doesn't allow you to place HTML code into the descriptions.
I need a specialized piece of software, such as Auctiva, that can integrate HTML into templates and then put those templates into an ebay ad. Or that has image hosting templates that are accepted by ebay as listing templates.

I thought eBay changed that so you could use html code for listing pictures.

as far as I can recall, you could put HTML in standard listing, and still can.

I don't really know HOW he does it... because I don't really care LOL...
A buddy of mine, when selling items on feebay that he needs a LOT of images for will just make a web page on it (he has a site) and copy the page as the auction text itself (html, I guess?).
Best I can offer.

Yeah, i know it's technically do-able, I'm just terrible at the HTML.
Painting models; easy.
Internet voodoo; makes my brain hurt.
I was just hoping for some service that has an option to integrate directly with ebay.

Re: Anyone know a good ebay-compatible image hosting service?
I do it myself, actually. But it's one of those things that I powered through and took a lot of trial and error to get right.
For regular auctions and stuff, I like being able to use a template system like Auctiva, that's fast and really convenient.

If you put your mind to it, you could probably develop your own template system using your own website. Prob be cheaper and once set-up, easier.

CG Web Solutions (cgwebsolutions.com)
Their free service has a few stock templates and 3(or 4) pics per ad. Their low end premium service is <$20 a YEAR or monthly @ $3 per, with 500mb storage and 15 pics per ad.
"No HTML knowledge needed"
Also, if you're planning on discontinuing Auctiva you may want to ask them to permanently remove all of your personal information from their database - look in their Privacy tab from the home page and follow the link.
