I was wondering if Bartertown would be interested in posting a Links page with links to other hobby sites. I know I do not know all of the hobby sites out there for all my diverse hobbies. Maybe just a stickied post or an actual section of some of the better info and community sites. I am sure that Bartertown could also get some new members from the increased visibility from the traffic of B-town members at these other sites. Maybe a few of these sites would post links back to B-Town?
Thoughts?
Hobby links page?

Re: Hobby links page?
There was a time when BTown had 2 "pages." There was the trade page (this one) and the Discussion page. On the Discussion page, there was a forum called (IIRC) "Better Places Than Here." It was for posting threads about other places we visit and enjoy...
...it saw minimal traffic.
That being said, though NOTHING has been solidified on it, I've brought up the idea to Lin of doing a banner swap with other sites. We'll see how that goes.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Want my help with a BTR or backout? All messages sent/posted should be in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Otherwise, I just won't read it.

Re: Hobby links page?
I remember the "Better Places than Here" forum from the now defunct Discussion page. Actually IIRC it was one of the more active forums on that side of the site (faint praise but relative). I think something like it would be a very useful and interesting addition to the new(er) BarterTown. It would be far more visible and hopefully more active than the old forum. Anyone else have an opinion or thoughts on the matter?
Personal Guidelines:
PayPal or MO are both welcome.
No trouble with Canadian or overseas orders. Just please be aware of the extra time and postage costs involved.
Significantly lower rating ships/pays first - this goes both ways.

Why not just do a similar thread and see if a mod would sticky it? Probably should go in the "Bartertown Information and Misc Messages" area though.
