I also agree about scratch built models being cooler, BUT the "looter" has to have SOME modelling skillz. I have seen some looted models that even an Ork wouldn't get into.

I will have to accede the point there. It puts me in mind of a "looted" Leman Russ another of my friends has. It's basically an unmodified Russ, with a dayglow orange and blue (Blue for the Death Skullz) paint scheme with a few Ork glyphs painted and glued on.
It makes me sad to see it.Go on, laugh! But one day, you'll be sitting in your house feeling all safe and secure... Then you'll look over and I'll be there... Doin'... stuff!

I forget how long a Defiler is. Would it fit on a Deff Dread base so you could use those rules via "Count As"

The BODY size is fine... but you'd have to convert it into a 2-legged Dread to do that.
On a side note, I have a defiler coming in trade.
Would it be wrong for the to use one of his claws on a Warboss?

Initially, I was making the Looted Shadowsword to sell on FEEbay. I'd heard the new codex was coming out & thought it would be a good opportunity to get some good money for it, since I only had MOST of the kit (who else has a looted FORGEWORLD Shadowsword? KWIM?). By the time it was ready for paint, I'd seen the codex and was hooked. I could not let go of my precious.
I started making the Stompa when I saw the datasheet for it for Apoc. It'll have magnetized arms to be a regular AND Big Mek's Stompa (I'm more fond of the Big Mek version).
I just picked up the Battle Fortress on BTown and am waiting on it in the mail.
I think I'm a Big Mek at heart. I love putting this stuff together... the bigger, the better. If it's Dead Stompy or Dead Killy, it's for me.
