White Dwarf & Ork vehicle templates
I vaguely recall that (years ago, back in the late RT-era), White Dwarf had several articles on scratch-building card & styrene versions of Bonecruncha, Braincruncha, Battle Wagon, etc. Before I start plowing through my collection, does anyone recall the issue numbers? (Or even approximately - I'd hate to have to wade through a hundred or so issues if someone can make a ballpark guess, or, even better, tell me the issue number.)

I don't recall if it was on the cover or not. Even flipping though the TOC of 50 or 60 issues is going to take time, since many have been bagged to protect them from the dampness of the basement. I think it was in the 120-140 range, but figured I would ask before I headed down to the basement later tonight.kturock wrote:sin't that written on the cover?

no. i mean in 1 issue, they had 1 2-3 page index of all articles of most of the issues before it.warlordgarou wrote:I don't recall if it was on the cover or not. Oh, I probably don't have that one. I stopped getting the mag for a hundred or more issues, though I recently picked up a bunch on the cheap.kturock wrote: no. i mean in 1 issue, they had 1 2-3 page index of all articles of most of the issues before it.

Yeah, I remember those days. I have almost nothing between 180 and 300, I think. Anyway, I did find the index (don't have the issue number with me, think it is 154 or something), but WD136 has templates for Gobsmasha, Braincrusha, Bonecruncha, and Lungbursta. They assume that you are using cardstock, and many of the vehicles look a bit small against some of the more current designs, but I really just wanted a rough idea and some visual cues.kturock wrote:oh, this was at least 5 years ago.

Re: White Dwarf & Ork vehicle templates
Interesting.
Can you post the other WD# when you're sure of it? Thanks.
In the mean time, i thought you guys might like these:

136
http://cgi.ebay.com/WHITE-DWARF-MAGAZIN ... .m20.l1116
As for the templates being too small.... put them on a photocopying machine and enlarge them by 25%. Should look "proppa orky" then.

Re: White Dwarf & Ork vehicle templates
154 does indeed have the index, covering from 100 to 153. 134 and 176 have articles on Ork buildings (the old adobe style stuff), and 128 and 131 have conversions for the old Battlewagon kit. 132 (which I am sure I have, but haven't found yet) has (I think) the templates for the scratchbuilt, original Baneblade.MagickalMemories wrote:Interesting.

I'm not gonna photocopy the templates, since I'll be using plasticard, but I figured a bump of 25% or 33% would work. I'll try to cut and assemble the base box shape for one of the tanks in 136 tonight, just to see a size comparison. I figure I can call the things either Battlewagons, trukks or looted wagon, depending on how I build them.
