Looking to ID a bit from WHFB

Post by porkuslime »

I am not a big WHFB player.. mainly 40k.

However, I spotted and grabbed a couple of knight heads that I am now looking for more of to do horrible things to for my Sisters Of Battle.

The head in question is a Knightly helmet, that is topped with a Lady with Sword and Shield, her gown falling down around the helm to form a scarf or drape. There is a peg, below the head, evidently to help secure it to a body.

The thought is it is Bretonnian .. what with their devotion to the Lady of the Lake.. but I may be wrong.

This LOOKS to me like a "snap fit" part.. so maybe it is from one of the incarnations of the boxed set of WHFB.. but if so, I wouldn't know of one.

I do realize that a picture of this bit would help, but since I am at work, right now, I cannot provide it. I CAN, if someone can link to a picture of one, confirm or deny it. I will post pics later tonight if this thread still needs em.

There was a bit similar to the one you described that came in the WHFB 5th boxed set(I think) Bretonnians Vs Lizardmen. It was for the Knights of the Realm that came with the boxed set. Unfortuneatly all of mine were traded to a friend when I got out of WHFB about 6 years ago. I do have a small selection of knight helms for another project I was woking on. I'll see if I can find the leftovers and get you a pic.

Yeah, you just describe the knights that came in the 5th edition box set and the 2 knight set. I might have a couple of those let me check.

I have some heads like that.
Different decoration at the top (mine hare Dragons - Grrrr).
They came off of Empire Knights and are, at least, 5 - 6 years old.
You need more of that one? I can see if I have any.

PM me.
