I'm not sure if there is a website, but if you can post a pic, I can probably identify them (book and figs).

From your description, it sounds like an adamantite golem, a summoned unit.

Would this be it:

Nah, just everything in armor. So, Stygian are okay, as are some of the Sons of Kronos, but yeah, in general, a lot of Chronopia figs looks like Zippy the pinhead in an armored linebacker uniform.

Of course, the same could be said about a fair chunk of the GW stuff too. :-P

I blamed it on Tim Prow. Dont think that guy should have ever been allowed near a set of sculpting tools. Although his heads tended to be oversized as opposed to undersized. His Warzone Brootherhood figs were atrocious.

Loved the sons of chronos and those giant dwarf beast totem things. Sadly all the ones I bought had such terrible offset mold lines. One was so poorly miscast it looked like the mold was offset by about 1/16th of an inch. I also got several of the blackblood trolls once that had huge hallows in them where there was not enough metal in the mold or something.

I've got a couple Chronopia minis that I just LOVE.

One is this huge Behemoth... Shoot... I can't remember the name...

It's Huge, winged, carries 2 axes... and has boobs.
I'd he tempted to use it as a Greater Daemon of Khorne, if not for the boobs.

The other I have looks like it could be a Daemon Prince of Nurgle (though kind of short). It's lower torso is ripped off and it walks around on it's knuckles while its' internal organs trail behind it... Oh, and it's resin.

I have a Biogiant, too... but I have that stupid thing.

Years ago, I used to paint for commission and one of my regular clients (when I lived in VA) was their version of an Outrider... he and I used to do a paint for trade.

Those elven dragonbane riders were pretty cool. Almost bought one off ebay some time back. Then I have to ask myself.........why? If it wasnt for my rampant impulse buying I would have no use for bartertown.

Seriously when I see a figure I really like I must have it and as soon as I have it I cant for the life of me remember what I needed it so badly for.

Chronopia actually is a fairly decent game, once you get past the appearance of some of the figs. Ditto for Warzone.

I prefer either to GW, but there is that whole "dead system, and nobody ever played it anyway" factor to consider.

Back then we played Warzone and Chronopia probably more than the 2 Warhammers. They were great games. The figures ranged from really good to terrible. The boxed terrain models, the cardboard ones, that came out with the figs and the scenerios were probably some of the best supplements I have ever seen for any miniatures game. The models were a pain to assemble though.

Chronopia had some stellar potential for a fantasy miniatures wargame Target just didnt survive long enough to see it fully mature. The truly sad thing is that Target didnt die from poor management/lack of sales but from DELIBERATE mismanagement. There was a time around the begining of the year that there was a TON of Chronopia stuff on ebay. Enough to buy a bunch and actually play some games. I almost went for it then decided not too. I like to search for dead games now and then sometimes e-bay has a surge of vintage graveyard items. It tempts me given that I have played most miniature games that have come out in the last 20 years.
