Nicely, ask them to reissue the payment in a valid form.

I certainly wouldn't leave a Negative Feedback over it.
Thats what I would do too in most cases. I only accept PO money orders, so when I go to ship the item sold, I can cash the money order. I've still had people use a bank money order though, even after Ive told them a few times PO money order. I don't give a negative, I just send them a PM telling them it was more of hassle. I get an apology and Im done. At least I got the money. I would NEVER accept a personal check. I don't use Paypal. Why should pay those fees??

i try not to use paypal, but alot of new people; to both ebay and here; believe that paypal can protect them, whereas a usps mo can't.

i sent a link from the post here that concerned paypal, and not covering claims and how to get around them. also on the protection of usps.

what alot of people don't realise/understand; not only do i have the same mail fraud and check fraud for frauduleenting using a mo; i lose my job. remember, i work for usps.
they'd come down tougher on me than they would on anyone else.

kturock, sadly, if you accept Paypal, then all forms of Paypal must be accepted: cash, credit, and debit. The buyer actually has grounds to leave you a 'neg'. eBay's / Paypal's rules are in their favor not yours. It sucks. On Bartertown though, you have grounds to leave a BTR.

I am surprised you that you that you have a cash only Paypal payment disclaimer in your listing/invoices. eBay removes auctions that includes such a Paypal stipulation.

Personally, I hate the path Paypal has taken. I have an older eBay account so do not have to offer Paypal as an option and do not offer it unless asked. I do then ask for cash Paypal but also ship with USPS insurance at their cost (seems Paypal offers zero protection for personal accounts). I have more faith in the USPS than I do Paypal.

Good luck in getting paid.

really? i've had that stipulation since paypal made the change.
and ebay has never commented upon it.

simple. i've left bad refs here and negative ffedback there and neither one has over-turned it.
