Ummm....yeah....

As Adunaphel asked- Do you have any PM's or emails from Brink or Maddog??
Do you??? Hmmm..... I'm wondering. I would bet my $$$ that you don't and your last message is a kind of cover-up.

It's nice to give people the benefit of the doubt, but something does not seem right here. Where there's smoke, there's fire. Sometimes its good to trust your instincts when dealing with a person.

You have 1 trade. Wow. Wahoo. Let the celebration begin.

Well, you can spell untrustworthy, and use capitals...

I have friends that couldnt spell thought on a good day.
I like them, but wouldnt trust them with a business transaction of any complexity.
And that includes those friends that cant be bothered with the effort of doing things properly as well.

You're being too hard on yourself. Actually, you're only 75% untrustworthy.
You forgot to average it.
You hit 150%, but it was on 2 fronts, so you have to divide the 150% by 2... Which equals 75%.
So, good news. Three months out of the year, you're not trying to scam anyone.

LOL

Eric

Oh... and fat people. Specs.esd forgot to add fat people to the list. Can't trust them. They eat all the profit. They're in league with the Colonel. Oh, how I hate him and his wee beady eyes...

See, there you go on the fat people again.
Carnie Wilson, I'm sure, is a lovely person.
Maybe she was just on a cabbage diet at the time.

More a rant on how spelling helps really, not just yours (remember CAPITAL letters...)
Can we please see the messages in the bad trader forum now?
That will help you with your credibility, and once youve started a process of complaint against Brink, who knows, he may answer...

If you have some kind of aversion against following rules though, you may continue entertaining me here.

Regarding the references still being up:

Do recall that everyone running this site has at least one full time job and a family. Adam's busy with his regular projects, and hasn't had time to deal with this. So, it's not us being spiteful. Just really busy with our real lives and paying jobs. ;-)

I would also like to remind everyone to please stay on topic and remember rule #6.

Thanks!

Torrero, it's not a rant about you being a scammer. You started this thread because Brink/Maddog seemed suspect. You were right, they were scamming. Even though you were told that was the case, you still went ahead with the trade (if any of this happened at all).

Now, if we can ignore the flame-war, the Irish, and Midgets, we can probably get at the problem at hand.

Which is, your reputation on Bartertown. This site is built almost completely on traders trusting another's reputation. I strongly suspect that most of the experienced traders here have thrown you in with Brink/Maddog as someone NOT to trade with.

How do you fix that? Well, you have started it a little. You have a positive reference from a trader that has references from several other traders. That's a start in the right direction.

Next, you need to fix this mess. You need to go over to the Bad Trader Forum and put in all the particulars of your trade gone bad with Brink/Maddog. This may seem daunting. I am a fairly experienced trader here and I had trouble earlier in the year posting on the bad trader forum.

BUT, it is not a big deal, and it might even help you get your problem resolved (as it did for me).

If you don't do this, then a whole lot of traders here are going to view you in the same light that they view Brink/Maddog.

BCI, does that mean you like it or not?
I don't think I have ever been quoted before.

I guess I am slightly fed up with looking at posts that I have to get out pen and paper and try to decipher. I never liked those kind of puzzles...

As for this thread, I guess it is kind of done because of the BTF thread that Torerro has given us!

So, now we can talk about Midgets (that are hot?!?!??!), WHEN someone's opinion is either right or wrong (it's all in the timing, I guess), and how to use the english language (or not).

Don't get me wrong, I will still try to trade with the grammar deficient, but it goes against everything that old Miss Rechtin taught me in English class. She used to take the ruler to you if you didn't get your grammar right...
