I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but I have a suspicion that it was a big 3-way shell game of sorts.... use two "cheating" profiles to add credibility to the third, which will be the one used to scam people later, relying on the "earned" goodwill for having been ripped off by -and the conduit for "catching" two scammers.

As I said, I HOPE I'm wrong, and I have NO PROOF that this is what actually happened

It has been 12 days, however, and Torrero has not yet posted on here that he received his items.

If he's sincere, and not scamming, why hasn't he? You'd think he'd be in a hurry to get his stuff. Twelve days is more than enough time to receive items via USPS, barring some unusual circumstances (which would be TOO coincidental for me).

All I wanted to do was try to protect the traders on this site, just like you. Maybe from now on you shouldn't jump down the throat of someone and then state the exact same thing a week later...

Well, first off, I wouldn't know WHAT exactly you said anymore.
You weren't "man" enough to leave your opinions up when someone disagreed with you.
My recollections on the matter, however, are that you were accusatory in word and tone from the beginning.

My post, which I stand by, is far more positive in both manners.
As I stated... I sincerely hope I am wrong in my suspicions of Torrero.

Additionally, I waited nearly TWO WEEKS before making such a statement

Torrero first stated that he was going through with the trade on 12/2. His first comment that he DID go through with it was 12/5. Your first posts, all edited so sulkingly, were on 12/4. I can only presume, in lieu of facts, that your negativity started around then.

MY post that you quoted was 16 days after his initial announcement that he was trading and 13 days after he announced sending his stuff. YOURS was 2 days after his initial and a day BEFORE he said he had sent.

That is how things are done here. Before any wrongdoing is openly accused (which I didn't even DO), you wait an appropriate period of time.
Instead of sulking around because people spoke out against your negativity, try to man up & be a more positive influence on Bartertown.

Please don't "follow" me around BTown, trying to start a flame war.

And MM, I am certainly not following you around trying to start flame wars. In fact in a previous post I listened to your opinion and you actually swayed mine over to your side. An opinion is just that, an opinion. I removed my prior comments on this thread because I was pissed that you came in all high and mighty taking the side of this apparent scammer over someone that has been on B-Town for years. I am now ticked off because you are saying the exact same thing that I did about how it seems all 3 of the users may be involved in the same scam. I apologize that I did not wait the 2 weeks, or whatever amount of time you deem necessary before posting a comment. I am not trying to start any war with you or anyone else on here. The only thing I would ask is that, in the future, just remember that your opinion should not be any more important than anyone else's on this board. The only opinions that really mean something on here are those of the admins. Everyone else is just holding a conversation.

Reading the rules help in many ways.
Also spelling.
Also being serious.

Hard to be trusted otherwise.
The main thing at least I connected you with them for, was the same disregard for rules and flippant attitude.

As to the trade you did with him, come on you were warned!
Now read the rules for bad trader refs, follow them, and then we can see the wonderful things he wrote that made you trust him....

Im not convinced either way, but I generally dont trust people that are to lazy to spell and not bothered with reading rules or following them.

Unfortunately, Torrero, you have several things going against you. First, your grammar is NOT good (which makes you suspect). Sorry if you don't like that, but that is just how it is.
Secondly, you were WARNED by experienced traders to not go ahead with the trade that you were worried about in the first place. What were you thinking?
Now, everyone is waiting to see the emails or PM's that you and Brink/Maddog sent to each other to set up this sad trade.
That should be interesting.
If you don't come up with those, then you will probably join Brink/Maddog in being suspended from the site.
Now, before you get all upset again. GO READ THE RULES for the BAD TRADER FORUM.
I would wish you good luck, but you haven't given yourself much of a chance for good luck.
Although, I noticed on one of Brink's threads, people are still trying to trade whole armies for an XBOX 360 even though his account is still suspended.....
Go figure.
