Ok, Im gonna set the story Strait. First off, Yes it is the same IP most of the time. Due to the fact that I Leech off of Brinks signal, that would make sence. IF further info was researched, you would see its not the same IP Every time.

2: We are indeed friends. and used each other to boost trade refs.
I know it was a bad idea, but it seemed harmless at the time.

3. We are not scamming anybody. I promise we are both compleatly legit.

4. I and Brink, both formally Apologize for the problems we have caused on this most amazing service of web technology.

I know I am still a FNG around here but with the information in the previous post.. It makes this all the more amusing/sad:

Did he like.. Write a tracking number on it and walk across the hallway?

It's also against the rules, which are right at the top of every forum. In fact, I', fairly certain you "both" KNEW it was against the rules (as was the fact that only trades conducted thru BT are legit) because you attempted to make it seem as if you were sending packages back and forth. If you're close enough to use his wifi or come over to use his connection, neither of you would send anything (as already pointed out twice).

Well, I certainly doubt you'd try to scam anyone..now that your rules infringement and ref padding has been publicly pointed out.

But why up each others refs in the first place? I think it's interesting that Brink's refs are above 10 and your's are just 1 ref away (this is interesting, esp. considering the habit of low-ref traders here to only simul-ship to those with 10+ refs). Also, Brink's sig location and ref location are complete but your's is not (I suppose it would be hard to substantiate the claim that you both "sent" trades to each other if you both listed the same city & state, huh?).

You may not be a scammers but your activity is consistent with that of most BT scammers.

If you want me to leave the site, I will do so. I do not blame you for it.

It's not that I or any other member or admin WANTS you to leave, we just want to protect everyone and make sure no new members get ripped off. IMHO, if it were up to me, you'd get a nice suspension and have your "refs" removed, (but that's Lin's call) and hopefully you'd return and trade fairly and responsibility.

I thought ref bumping was a banning offence.. similar to retaliatory negatives... i'm probably wrong as its not written anywhere.. but i could have sworn that it was dealt with that way in the past.. I don't think this has come up in a couple years or more.. most people are smart enough not to do that...

what's the point of bumping refs anyway.. other than to commit a scam... in fact in my opinion bumping refs is a scam...

funny thing is I had a trade in the works with one of them... he would have had a good ref if he would have just been patient, and lived up to his end of the deal!

Yes, but that isn't even the half of it.

They don't count at ALL for traders who have simply created 2 accounts and start leaving feedback for themselves on both accounts. LOL

Some people are so stupid to think they can get away with this crap.

Obviously, they don't know HALF of the things we've already seen here and even LESS of the things we've seen in our personal lives that we know to look out for online.

This guy(s) need to be BANNED permanently. Bartertown does NOT need people like this. Why pad the refs? Why not just send first & earn your references?? You know why....so they could get legitamate members to send them their goods first.Why? Hmmmmm....I wonder. Ban 'em!

You really should read up on how to use the system you are trading on. His e-mail has not been screened from you its still on the e-mail link at the bottom of his post... Brinkosanity@hotmail.com

I hate to sound callous but if you are doing business with anyone on the internet without knowing them and having enough information to get into contact with them you tend to get out of things the effort you put into them.

The new user registration should have a required reading and quiz before you can activate your account

If hes not an ass, wont he ask you for info if he has your mail....?
Otherwise you traded with someone against all advice and sense and got scammed.

and his account has not been banned. he is still listed as trade novice and not as account terminated.

I.E. he can still get your PM's and Send you PM's

How do we know that youre a safe trader.
Not to be too mean here but:

We know youre gullible.
We know you dont think about how this might advertise that to other scammers on the site.
We know you started this thread and acted lets say, weirdly..

Weve all been liars, and so know how to recognize a bad lie.
Thats what the ones who continue to lie throughout their lives cant understand. That even their behaviour is easily recognized.
Those two were obvious (come on, a sentence like, "thats because...yeah that will work"...is like putting your scheming mind on display

)

And I for one do not trust yours either, but your welcome to prove me wrong by gathering trade refs.
