Finding out Edition Of Minis

Post by SteveBerenyi »

Ok, i usually know already, because i bought the darn stuff, but some of the Stuff I have I dont know what edition it is from.
For further refrence, is there a site that i can find out exactly what ed my minis are from.

For Instance, I have this guy.

Now, to the best of my knowledge, he is 2nd ed 40k 3rd ed Wfb.
but how would i make sure?

PS. I am not asking what ed he is. i have more and want to make sure.

Thank,
Steve.

Stuff of Legends web site is a great place to start. If you go to the Citadel page, you can view their Catalogs by year. Then a quick search to determine when Editions started should give you a pretty good educated guess :) .

Another way is to post it here and just ask. I'm confident that the combined mini knowledge of the board could figure it out.

You know, this is something that has bugged the living hell out of me since I first caved in and started painting GW stuff. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY TO KNOW WHAT EDITION SOMETHING IS EXCEPT ASKING AND HOPING SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS. That's especially frustrating with books, because so many are up to 6th or 7th, and I swear you can never find even a publication date in the bloody things.

Why isn't there a better way to keep track of such stuff?
