lets say i create a trade thread and want to add/remove items or make a change to. how do i go about it while keeping it from getting locked?
i know that i could edit the original thread but that doesnt really help since it wont show up as new and no one will see the new information.
thought?
quoting the rules...
"You may update your ad as you see fit provided your purpose is not to attempt any form of bumping.
Updating an ad is not bumping if there have been changes made to the inventory or pricing presented in the ad. It is bumping if "hey i still have this stuff available" is all that's written, or something to that extent."
it seems like replying to your own thread with an update should be acceptable but threads doing this have been getting hammered hard with locks lately.
how do i update a thread without it getting locked?

how do i update a thread without it getting locked?
*notes about trading with me…
I do not like drawn out deals. Id like to have a deal signed and complete within 48 hours.
I abide by the unwritten rules… lower rating ships first pays first.
I always provide delivery confirmation and expect the same.
All deals are US only.

well, just by reading the rules, deleting or adding items.
Adding, 'pending' on items.
Updating the list without saying, hey I still have this available.
Click the edit button and not making a reply to your own post.
EDIT, changing prices or way items are grouped.

maybe the rules should say edit then?
i suppose your better off waiting a week and reposting the ad with the changes because like i said, if you edit the add it will not show up as new so the folks that have already read the ad will never see the edited changes.

When you edit the original post, you can edit the title also. So, in the title you could add *updated 11/1* or something to flag folks that there's something new.
No, no, guard, turn, parry, dodge, spin and - then - thrust!MagickalMemories wrote:Please, nobody take this the wrong way when I say... Plarz, I love you.
