Re: Trading Question
Priority International packages from the United States to Canada are "soft" trackable using the customs number. It's not as comprehensive as full tracking per se, but you can see them moving through the system.
Plug CP731180607US into Canada Post's website to see what I mean.
I don't know if we need a sticky with a link to all the various postal services, but it seems easy enough to do.

Australia:

I tried to search by Customs form # on their main page.
Didn't work.
I used LC909812672US (sent on 11/13/10 and already confirmed receipt with recipient).

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Want my help with a BTR or backout? All messages sent/posted should be in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Otherwise, I just won't read it.

Re: Trading Question
According to USPS, that was sent First Class International, not Priority International.MagickalMemories wrote:Australia:

But my only point was that the Customs form # does not *automatically* work on all non-US postal web sites.

Re: Trading Question
Fair enough. My experience with First Class International from USPS is that it is rarely if ever soft trackable, while Priority International has been in 100% of cases I've used it.MagickalMemories wrote:But my only point was that the Customs form # does not *automatically* work on all non-US postal web sites.
I'd be interested in anecdotal evidence from other receiving countries about Priority International.

To take it a step further, I'd be interested in anecdotal evidence from ALL receiving countries about all shipping services.
You're a Canadian sending to the UK? Would love to hear your experiences.
Etc.

Re: Trading Question
Very interesting, I'm in the process of a trade to Canada.
I'll try the soft tracking w/the customs # and see what happens.
