@MM: Thanks for your input. I actually found out about him through Bartertown so that might qualify for a BTR but I will contact Lin about it.
I have set painter6479 a last deadline to pick up communication.
Unfortunately my 45 days on paypal are already over but I guess I will just hand this issue over to a lawyer...
Looking for information about Painter 6479

He is not responding to any emails, even emails from Paypal. It is becomming apparent that this is deliberate, and not a misunderstanding.
A police report is probrably going to be filed early next week, and I will post the officer's name who is assigned to this case, so everyone else this guy stole from will be able to go directly to the cop who is handling it.
The good news? The ammount of cash and figs taken are WELL over the limit for it to be a felony!

Oh, there will be someone in uniform a knockin on his door!

If he is not responding to any e-mails even from Paypal, then I'm definitely leaning towards the 'ripped-off' conclusion as well.
I will be sending a final warning e-mail as well myself tonight. If I don't hear a reply back by Monday, I will be filing mail fraud and opening a Paypal dispute. Please keep me posted on the police information; I've the sinking feeling I will need to contact the officer responsible for the case.

Well, I still think the ignoring s intentional, but NOT out of malice.
I think he's in over his head and is scrambling, and worried, because he doesn't know how to get out, and is seeing avoidance as the better tactic.
I'm not defending him, I'm just making a statement.
As a side note, one of my buddies has already begun the process, as well.
He's contacting the Chamber of Commerce/bbb/legal soon.

Give me a sense of humor Lord. Give me the grace to see a joke.
To get some humor out of life and pass it on to other folk.
I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

If he is scrambling around and worried, that seems rather stupid. In my opinion, the clear and honest course of action would be to e-mail the most recent people to put in orders with him (such as myself), explain that he was wrong and at the moment he is too busy to complete our orders, and then refund our money and ship our models back.
Instead, silence, which just causes us to judge him with even more guilt and proceed with legal action against him.

I don't disagree, at all.
I'm thinking the money's spent, though, and that's why he's avoiding the contact.
-Again, STRICTLY hypothesis.

Well... This gets more and more confusing. After more than two weeks and that final warning e-mail I sent, I just now received an e-mail informing me about pictures of one completed model and one work-in-progress conversion. It's as if he hasn't received any of my past e-mails since the one he sent me about having wrist surgery. And there are indeed one painted Gaunt and a Carnifex conversion.
I'll keep this thread updated.

I have waited a year
Hey folks,
He emailed me 2 months ago to say my army was done, I sent him my address and nothing since. I have now officially waited over a year. If anyone has any sound legal advice, I would gladly hear it.
