Max wait before posting bad trade report?

Post by ancientsociety »

Conducting a trade right now with someone in NB, Canada. We agreed to send simultaneously (~Aug. 14). Other party rec'd my half within 1 week. Did not return several PMs until emailed. They said he was on duty and his spouse sent Aug. 21 (after having to ask 3 times for a date sent). They said it would take 2 weeks to receive my share however it's been over 2 weeks (actually over three if you count the initial promise to send).

I've rec'd other items in the meantime from the UK and other parts of Canada. Anybody know how much longer I should wait?

Thanks!

-I admit that I'm fairly impatient though....
Trading Guidelines:
1. Lower rating ships first - even if I am purchasing.
2. If you agree to buy something, you have 72hrs. in which to pay. If payment is not received in 72hrs., I will automatically post a Non-Payment/Backout thread.
3. Refs are left upon positive receipt of goods, NEVER beforehand!
4. I accept Paypal & USPS money orders and charge for shipping AT COST. I make no profit from it.
5. I trade NIB/new models at retail.

Under normal cirumstances I'd say you've waited long enough but since there was some...confusion on the other end Maybe a bit longer. Plus remember you're dealing with Canada. No offense to our northern neighbors but there mail system and ours just don't play well together. Before somebody blames it on US Customs (which I'm sure does slow it up some these days) this has been an issue since long before 9/11 and our resultant increased screening. For whatever reason it's like they tie the box to the side of a moose and wait for it to wander closer to the destination and call it mail service. I don't even deal with Canadians anymore because of it (with one exception since I know he's absolutely trustworthy).

What about if they said they didn't mail the minis until the 21st, yet when they send the customs form scan along, it was sent on Aug. 23rd (10 days after they agreed to send first)?

//still haven't rec'd the minis....

Return of items...

Post by Mat »

Hi Jeremy. As I have stated, I am more than happy to return your OOP TS models, airmail with tracking number.

Having most of my time and life monopolized to taskforce training, I do apologize for not sending on said date, as I had stated as well in previous emails, but my training, unfortunatly, gets in the way of my hobby. Again, sorry, send my your address, I will return the TS models. Hell, keep the OOP Raptors when they get there as well, as I want to resolve this issue without anymore hassle from you.

And yes, Canada mail operates by Donkey and Hobbo.

Mat,

Both you and your wife have my address readily available in PM, email, and the customs form. If you want to return my minis, please do so and I will return yours once I recieve them. I'd rather not have you "inconvenienced" by the expectations of (how did your wife put it?) "YOU Americans".

You also never mentioned that you would be unavailable to send until I contacted you several times via PM and email and, even then, you were very snippy and confrontational about it. As you've said, if you have better things to do with your time then trade minis, perhaps you shouldn't be trading.
